The Standing Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has just made a conclusion on the rights of land users in the planning area without any land acquisition decisions and approved land use plans.
Accordingly, the City People’s Committee approved the policy for agricultural land users in the B, C and D zones of the New Urban Area in the South of the city to convert agricultural land from rice land to other agricultural land. This area had a decision to recover land under the Prime Minister’s Decision No. 865 of 1996.

The City People’s Committee also approved the policy for land users to have lawful agricultural land use rights in projects that have not yet had a land acquisition decision, or have no annual land use plans in the two planning areas of the University. The City People’s Committee requests the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Construction to provide advice to the City People’s Committee on specific documents related to the above guidelines. At the same time, the authorities must manage the construction order situation so that the above guidelines of the city are not taken advantage of giving rise to the situation of illegal construction.
